I’m Brendan Bush. I’m a 30-something freelance web designer/developer with a serious music obsession. I grew up listening primarily to hip-hop, which still finds its way into a private part of my life. In 2004, I was introduced to a whole new genre of music — I caught Fruit Bats, Chad VanGaalen and Rogue Wave in the back room of the Black Cat in D.C., and immediately immersed myself in the world of indie rock/pop/folk etc. Genres sometimes hurt my head, but you get the point.

Hundreds of shows, several festivals and a move to Vermont later, I decided to find another outlet for my obsession. Hence, this blog. I’m writing to share good music, to promote the music scene in Burlington and to try and bring more folks out to shows with me.

I’m not a critic and I’m not an expert. I’m a fan, and all I’m trying to do here is make sure you are one too.
